Sub-miniature, all welded, Konic shear sensing element based vibration transducer. The low mass of the A/25/E renders its transparent in the vast majority of light weight structure vibration measurement applications.  The A/25/E is adhesive mounted. A detachment tool is provided to shear adhesive joints. Shock removal is to be avoided as being deleterious to the integrity of the transducer.  Abrasive cleaning of the attachment face will reduce base thickness over time; sparing use of adhesive will aid longevity and data accuracy. Signal outlet is via a surface contact socket. Mating connector preload torque should be 7cNm, the locknut tightened to 12cNm for Signal integrity to 10,000g. Insufficient preload may result in intermittent signal loss. .

Charge Amplifiers

Charge Output Accelerometers require a Charge Amplifier to convert the charges from the vibration sensor to a voltage, readable by front end instrumentation or vibration analysers.

The CA/04/NL variant of the CA/04 Series of Charge Amplifiers is best suited for use with the A/28. The CA/100 Miniature Charge Amplifier may be suitable for some applications.

Calibration

All DJB Accelerometers are calibrated on site prior to despatch, and are accompanied by a calibration chart with temperature and frequency responses listed. Periodic calibration can be carried out with our VC-01 Handheld Calibrator whilst we also offer a full calibration service including cross axis checks to aid accuracy of data. We are able to provide this service for all makes of accelerometer with a full report given for each device.
